Safer Design System Editing and Better Image Control

This week's updates help teams collaborate safely on Design Systems, control image rendering more precisely, and keep review and export feedback easier to act on.

Safer Design System editing​

Design System editing now helps teams avoid overwriting in-progress changes. When one person is already editing a Design System, other teammates open it in view-only mode with a banner showing who is editing and when they were last active. If someone needs to continue the work, they can take over editing after making an explicit takeover decision.

Betty's Design System work is now easier to review. Long Betty sessions collapse into a step-by-step summary that shows what Betty checked and changed, while applied changes stay visible so template developers can confirm the final update quickly.

Review, preview, and export​

Sendy exports now use the Campaign subject reviewed in Better Email, while keeping the Campaign name as the internal Sendy title. The rendered HTML is exported unchanged, so any preheader or preview-text behavior remains controlled by the Design System output your team reviewed.

Review comments are easier to verify before publishing. Selecting a comment in the sidebar now scrolls the preview to the matching pin, including comments on header or footer content that is not currently visible.

Improvements​

  • Images can now be flipped horizontally or vertically, and face-aware zoom keeps portrait crops focused on the person in reusable modules such as profiles, testimonials, and speaker blocks.
  • Betty can render Design System screenshots with specific input values, repeatable item counts, and Design System settings, so template developers can check non-default module states without changing a draft.
  • Image fields in Design Systems and Campaigns now use a clearer upload area, keep the Upload button disabled until a file is selected, and show inline errors for rejected files.

Fixes​

  • Rich-text fields in the Campaign Editor no longer lose saved copy after switching blocks or adding and removing modules.
  • After creating a revision, Review and Feedback now show updated Global settings instead of headline or footer content from the previous revision.
  • Design System previews now show Integration-specific content for the selected Integration, such as the right header, footer, or module.
  • Member pickers inside setup dialogs now scroll correctly when admins add users to groups, folders, Design Systems, or Integrations.
  • Sendy exports now report errors correctly when Sendy accepts the request but does not create the draft campaign.
